Dutch underground lord Drvg Cvltvre tries with this EP to escape the tyranny of the beat and proves that even with lower bpm you still can be captivating, creating more space to tell your story. The 4 tracks have a lofi, less is more approach. Less Talk More Action is a slowburning banger with a dry beat that gets some funkiness along the way. Koreman likes his action slow and long.
Poison Hemlock has something dystopian, a feverish dream where by a wailing siren marks a sense of impending doom. A reminder to do not touch any plants you’re not familiar with.
The last 2 tracks are more moody, melancholic. Strong Arm is the kind of deephouse we imagine Virgo Four would have made if they were more afraid of the cold war. From Within plays with sferic motives like Palmbomen did with his Memories trilogy. And with this track he saves the best for last.
